Hollywood star Keanu Reeves. There is a ramen shop where the actor, known for his roles in “The Matrix'' and “John Wick,'' stopped by incognito during his stay in Japan. Kyushu Jangara Ramen Harajuku Main Store is located in the center of Harajuku, Tokyo, near Takeshita Street.

The Harajuku main store is located on the 1st floor of Champs Harajuku Building 2, 1-13-21 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo. Although it is conveniently located just a 2-minute walk from JR Harajuku Station's Takeshita Exit, it is a ramen restaurant that maintains a traditional, friendly atmosphere. It features a retro interior reminiscent of Showa food stalls, and is crowded with customers day and night.
Keanu Reeves reportedly visited during a break in promotional work in Tokyo. Wearing a hat and sunglasses, he sat alone at the counter and ordered “Jangara zenbu-iri,” the all-toppings bowl. It combines pork-bone broth and thin noodles with chashu, a seasoned egg, menma, and tender braised pork. Despite the generous portion, the broth is relatively light.
Other signature choices include Bonshan, a rich pork-bone broth; Kobonshan, a rich garlic-flavored broth; and Miso Jangara. The menu also offers vegan ramen and gluten-free noodles, giving visitors additional options.
The shop caters to international visitors with English menus. Customers can point to menu items even when they do not share a language with the staff. This makes the restaurant approachable for visitors such as Keanu.
"Kyushu Jangara" in Harajuku has now become known as "the store where Keanu Reeves came." Not only is it popular, but it also captures the hearts and stomachs of many people with its authentic taste and sincerity. If you visit Tokyo, why not try the same bowl as Keanu?
